1. Our Commitment

Depli is built on a local-first architecture. This means your data lives on your machine, not on our servers. Privacy isn't a feature we added -- it's the foundation we built on.

We believe you should be able to use powerful software without surrendering your personal information. This policy explains exactly what we collect, what we don't, and why.

2. What We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of information necessary to operate:

• Email address -- only if you join our waitlist, purchase a Pro license, or contact us for support.
• Purchase information -- transaction details processed by our payment provider for Pro license purchases.
• Crash reports -- only if you opt in. These contain technical diagnostic data (no personal files or content) and help us fix bugs.

3. What We Don't Collect

We want to be explicit about what we never do:

• We do not collect usage telemetry or analytics.
• We do not track which features you use, how often, or when.
• We do not access, read, or upload your personal files, notes, documents, or any content you create in Depli.
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels.
• We do not build user profiles or behavioral models.

4. AI & Data

When you use Sona, Depli's optional AI assistant:

• Your queries are sent to third-party AI API providers for processing in real-time.
• These queries are not stored on our servers or the API provider's servers beyond the duration needed to generate a response.
• Your data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI models.
• AI features are entirely optional -- Depli works fully without them.

5. Local Storage

All user data -- notes, tasks, canvases, knowledge bases, workspaces, and preferences -- is stored locally on your device in open, readable file formats.

We never upload your data to any server. There is no sync service, no cloud backup, and no remote access to your files. You have complete control.

6. Third Parties

• We do not serve ads or work with advertising networks.
• We do not embed third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.
• Our payment processing is handled by trusted providers who only receive the information necessary to complete your transaction.

7. Your Rights

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Export -- all your data is stored in open formats on your machine. You can copy, move, or back it up anytime.
• Delete -- uninstall Depli and delete the local data folder. That's it. There's nothing on our servers to delete.
• Waitlist/email removal -- contact us at any time to have your email removed from our waitlist or mailing list.
